the Davis is the sort of movie theatre you remember going to before the megaplexes took over with their garish neon soul-less corporate sponsors. The Davis features an eldery lady at the ticket window and the no-frills approach to movie viewing. The seats in most of the theatres are set at an angle (with on side higher than the other), but for a neighborhood theatre within the heart of Lincoln Square, you can't complain. They offer newly released movies for a reasonable rate.

Club Foot is the smokiest bar in town. It is rumored that Stanger has been spotted here recently. Conformation forthcoming. The fourth Thursday sees DJ's STV SLV and SCRVNR playing the songs you know you love.

Red Star is a hole in the wall. You want the best liquor store on the Northwest side, head down to Milwaukee/California for Vas Foremost Liquors. From cases of Chimay to 6-packs of Hamm's, wine, liquor, glassware, they got it all.
