People who spout propaganda that they are working for the welfare of the African American community should stand up and do that. Operation Push, Al Sharpton, and the NAACP should be shouting from the roof tops about the rich and affluent communities that are being subsidized with African American monies. Every African American has to leave their communities to shop for food, clothing, and other commodities because big buck stores that bring REVENUE to a community have been removed from our neighborhoods. WE (African Americans) are keeping other communities afloat. Our monies are generating REVENUE for them, not us. Where is the shouting and protesting against this disenfranchisement? All we hear and see is marching and protesting about VIOLENCE. These negative images, slogans, and condemnations are being brainwashed into our young people. That is all they hear day in and day out. They are not hearing the TRUTH. Truth, the Real reason DRUGS are more affluent in our neighborhoods and not others. Without businesses that produce REVENUE in a community, people will generate FINANCES by any means necessary. And drugs and alcohol are the greatest commodity that will accomplish the greatest result: DEATH, PRISON, and total destruction. Truth, why inferior teachers are instituted into our community, thus generating inferior education creating less advancement and opportunity. Truth, under the guise of "FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION," these people who "Holler to make a Dollar" are allowed to mass produce this "Dummy Dummy" music,(rap and hip hop) that is further destroying and brainwashing our youth. Many of them ex-drug dealers, thugs and thuggets who have helped destroy their community and continue assisting in the genocide. These are the examples OUR children get bombarded with every day, 24/7. They are being conditioned to become what they now project. This is not who we are. We are the CHOSEN ONES. Deuteronomy 14 states that fact. The Lord( God) chose a "peculiar" people unto him above all the nation upon the earth. Our Hair (tightly curled,) skin color, facial features (lips and noses,) these are the characteristics we possess that no other Nation of people have. This is Proof in itself who the Chosen ones are. Yet, our children are not exposed to the TRUTH of who they really are. It is time to start teaching them. Before O'Bama became president My advice to all my family and neighbors was to get as much Education as possible during his tenure because when he leaves office the subliminal message will be, " You wanted your freedom, we gave you that. You then demanded your civil rights and the right to vote. We gave you that. You wanted a Black President and we gave you that. Now sit down and shut up." Well, they will have no need to tell us to sit and be quiet because we have already done that. It is now time to make some noise.

I used to live on Albany Street & went to school at Spry from 1966-71, graduating from 8th grade there. When we moved out of the neighborhood (the day of my graduation), it was getting scary living there. I used to get shaken down for money fairly regularly while walking home from school. While I got a fairly decent education at Spry, some of the teachers had almost no control over their classes. I was bullied quite a bit and was very relieved when I was told we were moving out of the area & I would not have to go to Harrison High School (which was across the street from Spry). I've not been back to the area since graduating & have no plans on visiting either. I imagine many of my teachers have passed on by now. I would like to get in touch with a few of them, though, if possible. The one teacher who influenced me most was my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Schermer. He made learning fun & encouraged us to excel. Wish all teachers had his enthusiasm for teaching.
